I'd like to share with you one of my new creations. My spring bunny! This stained glass bunny has a nice selection of glass in a variety of colors and textures. Pretty pink and red flowers with varying colors of green for the grasses and stems. The bunny is browns and creams. It has been . with a great green patina just love this little guy. The size of the project is 8 1/2" x 11". This comes ready to hang.
I am anxiously waiting for spring to come! To get me in the mood, I made this sunflower stained glass panel. It is 8 1/2 x 11 in size and done with some really fun textured glass. I decided to use the antique green patina over the copper foil. I love all of the bright colors and the cheery look of this panel. I think I may even plant a sunflower this year!
I recently bought a bird feeder to hang outside near my kitchen window so I could watch the different birds that hang around the midwest in this horrible weather. As much as I know about cats (little) I know even less about birds. But, surprisingly, I am having a blast watching these things! I now keep the camera right next to the window. They are so pretty. I decided to do a stained glass window of the cardinal. I am including in this post a picture that I took in the tree as well as the newest stained glass piece of artwork. I used some etched clear glass for the background that really looks much like ice/frost. The branches are done in a glass that is very textured and has the look of a branch I think. The berries on the branches are made with glass globes and add a dimensional look to the piece. It was really fun to do.
